India vs South Africa Ranchi ODI: Veteran India batter Rohit Sharma etched his name in the ODI record books on Sunday as he overtook Shahid Afridi's long-standing mark of 351 sixes with his explosive hard-hitting display in Ranchi.

Rohit achieved the feat in the 20th over of the first India vs South Africa ODI, requiring just three sixes to overtake the Pakistani legend's tally.

Rohit came into this series with 349 sixes in his account and two behind Afridi, who hit 351 in 398 matches in ODI cricket between 1996 to 2015.
