After sustaining a blow to his left shoulder, Shardul Thakur braved through pain during the optional training session which took place in Centurion. As per a report in Cricbuzz, there were concerns about Shardul Thakur's left shoulder injury during a net session in Centurion, however, the Indian camp in South Africa has reassured that the all-rounder is in perfect condition.
The report stated that despite sustaining a blow during an optional training session, the bowling all-rounder is reported to be doing well, with no recommended treatment or scans by the medical staff.
"Shardul continued to bat soon after being hit, and there is no cause for concern. The incident occurred during a throwdown session at Centurion, where only a handful of players participated in the optional training," a source was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.

As the Indian team prepares to fly to Cape Town for the second and final Test starting on January 3 at Newlands Stadium, the lineup for the match remains uncertain. KL Rahul is expected to continue as the wicketkeeper despite challenges in the Centurion Test, while the team management contemplates the bowling lineup.
The performance of debutant Prasidh Krishna is under scrutiny, and alternatives like Mukesh Kumar and Avesh Khan are being considered. Additionally, the availability of Ravindra Jadeja, who missed the first Test due to back stiffness, adds an intriguing aspect to the selection choices for the upcoming Test.
