India and West Indies will lock horns in the T20I series with the first game of the series to kick off at the Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba in Trinidad on August 3, Thursday.
After comprehensive victories in the Test and ODI series, Men in Blue will be looking to put up an effective performance in the T20I series as well to make it a perfectly successful tour to West Indies.
The Indian team will be in a whole new look as compared to the Test and ODI series under the captaincy of all-rounder Hardik Pandya. The likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tilak Varma are expected to make their debuts for the Indian team in the shortest format with a few senior players not being part of the squad.

West Indies, on the other, hand will aim for a better result in the format they look more suited to, having already thrashed in the Test and ODI series.
Nicholas Pooran, who missed the ODI series owing to his participation in Major League Cricket, returns to the T20I side fresh off a match-winning 137 not out. The presence of Shimron Hetmyer and Shai Hope lends heft to the setup, as does the return of Oshane Thomas to the pace department.
The rain has played its part in the tour as the second Test was washed out due to rain and ODI series also witnessed a few interruptions.
IND vs WI 1st T20I, Weather Forecast
The weather in Trinidad has been predicted to be a bit cloudy in the morning with the day likely to experience fluctuating weather conditions. There are 40 percent chances of rainfall which means the match can likely be witnessing a delay or an interruption due to light showers. High winds of around 22 km/h are also expected that increased the possibility of a thunderstorm as well.
Pitch Report
The track at the Brian Lara Stadium is known to be slow and tricky, mostly favoring the spinners, and is also likely to be affected by the rain. It can make the pitch weaker with slow deliveries likely to be effective in the death overs. This means fast bowlers might not have a similar impact in the game as the balls won’t bounce the right way. The boundaries of this stadium are comparatively shorter which can favor the batters in scoring runs.
