India's cricket team is set to switch to T20 mode against the West Indies in a five-match series, just two days after their ODI series victory. The T20 series will provide an excellent platform for young players to showcase their talent.

Led by all-rounder Hardik Pandya, India will give opportunities to promising players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Tilak Varma, and Mukesh Kumar. Notably, Jaiswal and Varma earned their maiden call-ups to the T20I squad based on their impressive performances in the Indian Premier League.

Meanwhile, the selectors have brought back Sanju Samson, and the experienced batter-wicketkeeper will be eager to make the most of this chance and strengthen his case for a spot in the ODI World Cup squad.

India is expected to dominate the series given the West Indies' recent struggles across formats. With a formidable batting lineup that includes Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill, and Hardik Pandya, India has the potential to post big totals.

In the bowling department, spinners like Ravi Bishnoi, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, and Axar Patel will be crucial. The pace attack will be handled by Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik, Avesh Khan, and Mukesh Kumar.

The West Indies, on the other hand, will look to bounce back after defeats in the Test and ODI series. The inclusion of Shai Hope and Oshane Thomas is expected to strengthen their squad.

The series begins on Thursday at the Brian Lara Stadium, followed by matches at the Guyana National Stadium on August 6 and 8. The series will conclude with two matches at the Broward County Stadium, Lauderhill, Florida, on August 12 and 13. Both teams will be eager to perform well with an eye on the upcoming T20 World Cup.
