IND vs WI 2nd Test: India skipper Shubman Gill was able to end his losing streak in the toss. He had won the toss for the first time as he had lost six consecutive tosses. Luck worked in his favor when he came out for the toss against the West Indies on Friday.

Gill hasn't won a single toss after playing in the five Test matches as the skipper against England, which ended in a tie. In the series opener last week, Gill lost the toss yet again, but the hosts defeated West Indies by an innings and 140 runs.

Gill chose to bat first to take advantage of the favorable conditions on the first Day of 2nd Test.

When he returned to the dressing room post the toss, his teammates and head coach congratulated him for finally ending the losing streak in the toss. Pacers Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Axar Patel were seen laughing and making fun of Gill for not choosing to bowl first.

Head coach Gautam Gambhir, who was looking after the team, was also seen smiling when he met Gill after the toss.

Gambhir and the bowlers were seen waiting behind the square as they wanted to know the result of the toss. After realizing that Gill had won, Gambhir, along with the rest of the players, was seen celebrating.

The host fielded an unchanged XI, which meant that both fast bowlers, Bumrah and Siraj, would be playing in this match. The Men in Blue will be going to Australia for a three-match ODI and five-match T20I series later this month. Although Bumrah will be giving the ODI series a miss, Siraj is a part of the team as the matches will be held in Perth, Adelaide, and Sydney.

After finishing the series opener in just two and a half days, the host did have the privilege of picking their strongest playing XI.
