IND-A vs ENG-L 2nd Unofficial Test 2025: India A scored 75/2 at lunch during the rain-induced morning session on the first day of the second unofficial Test match against England Lions. Opener KL Rahul and Karun Nair had scored 26 and 16 runs till lunch.
Chris Woakes, who is expected to spearhead England's fast bowling attack during the series opener against India in Leeds later this month, took two wickets during the morning session.
Woakes, who returned to the national side after a long injury layoff, had first dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal by LBW. India A skipper Abhimanyu Easwaran was then caught at the second slip on the first ball that he faced.

Woakes then ended Easwaran's knock by bowling a peachy delivery which straightened after pitching.
The pitch conditions in County Ground were bowlers-friendly.
Nair had played just three balls and the match was halted owing to inclement weather conditions.
And when the match resumed after the rain delay, Rahul and Nair played cautiously and kept the scorecard ticking.
England Lions skipper James Rew had won the toss and chose to bowl first.
The visitors are gearing up for a five-match Test series against England, which will begin later this month.
