India vs South Africa 3rd ODI Result: Virat Kohli and Arshdeep Singh got involved in a little hilarious banter after India defeated South Africa by 9 wickets in the third and final ODI match at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Saturday.

India won the three-match series 2-1 as they chased down the 271-run target in 39.5 overs with Virat finishing things off in style. Having smashed a remarkable fifty, Virat went on to play a fiery knock of unbeaten 65 runs in 45 balls on the back of six fours and three sixes. He headed into the series decider on the back of two successive centuries in the previous games and had a golden chance to complete a hat-trick of hundreds.

However, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma did enough for India that the Men in Blue got home even without Virat's century. There were not that many runs left to chase when Virat arrived at the crease, but the senior batter made sure that he registered his fourth successive 50-plus score in the ODI format. In the hilarious skit, Arshdeep told Kohli that if the target was bigger, he’d have been able to get to a third consecutive century.

"Paaji, run kam rehgaye, century aaj pakki thi waise (Brother, the target wasn’t big enough, otherwise a century seemed certain)," he said.

Virat hit back with a cheeky reply, saying, "Toss jeet gaye, nahi toh teri bhi pakki thi dew mein, (Be thankful we won the toss or even you have been hit for a century in the dew!)." The video has rapidly gone viral on social media. Arshdeep is one of the funniest characters in the team and is active across multiple platforms, especially with his reels after the matches.

Meanwhile, Jaiswal produced a memorable effort and smashed his maiden ODI century. He played an unbeaten knock of 116 runs with the help of 12 fours and two sixes. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma also smashed a fifty, scoring 75 runs. He hit seven fours and three sixes.

Kohli won the Player of the Series award for being the top run-getter with 302 runs to his name at an average of 151.
