India's ODI record in Adelaide: India will be up against Australia in the second ODI match at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday, October 23. Australia are already 1-0 up in the three-match series, having won the first match by 7 wickets in Perth.

India will be looking to produce an improved effort as they are in a desperate win in order to remain alive in the series. The defeat in Perth was India's first in the format in 2025 as their run of eight successive wins came to an end. Shubman Gill's stint as ODI skipper started with a defeat as he replaced Rohit Sharma for the big role.

The series marked the return of veteran batters Rohit and Virat Kohli to international cricket, but the outing ended up being a disappointing one for both players. While Rohit managed to score just 8 runs, Virat was dismissed for an 8-ball duck. However, all eyes will be on both senior batters once again as the Indian team management and fans expect them to come up with a big and impactful show in Adelaide.
