IND vs AUS 3rd Test: Ex-India skipper Virat Kohli was seen encouraging the Men in Blue in their first training session at the Gaba in Brisbane before the third Test of the ongoing five-match Test series. Kohli gave his fellow teammates a passionate pep talk, which also included vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah on Thursday.

The Rohit Sharma-led side landed in Brisbane on Wednesday morning and began their training session in Brisbane at 9:30 p.m. local time on the next day. They attended a four-hour training session, where the Indian batters and bowlers were seen improving their skills, before the highly-awaited third Test, which would be held later this week.

His pep talk was mainly aimed at youngsters, especially Dhruv Jurel and Nitish Kumar Reddy. The Men in Blue looked in a good mood even though they suffered a 10-wicket loss to Australia during the second Test in Adelaide last week.

Gautam Gambhir, who is the head coach of the Indian national team, was also seen addressing the whole team during the team huddle. His way of addressing was quite intense as all the players listened to him carefully.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are solid at the nets

Kohli continued his intensity during the training session as he was seen leaving the balls outside off stump brilliantly and even showed exemplary footwork. The star batter has struggled while facing deliveries outside the off stump and has been often dismissed while trying to face balls that are away from him. Although he did score a match-winning hundred during the second innings of the series opener, he got out in the same way in his last three Test innings.

Skipper Rohit Sharma also grabbed the limelight in the training session. He failed twice during the second Test after making a comeback to the national team since he didn't feature in the series opener as he was on paternity leave.

On Thursday, the Indian skipper looked in good touch against both spinners and fast bowlers. He was seen facing Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Akash Deep in the training session.

It would be interesting to see whether Rohit would continue to bat at the No.6 position or resume batting as an opener during the upcoming position. Rohit gave up his opener's position to let Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul continue opening during the second Test match.

The visitors also received a huge boost as star pacer Jasprit Bumrah brushed aside all the injury scares and was seen bowling at full throttle during the training session on Thursday. He had sustained a groin injury scare in the second Test match and was seen falling to the ground during the first innings. But he still bowled after getting the medical treatment.

The Men in Blue will try to repeat their 2021 Gabba heroics when they lock horns with the in-form Australia for the third Test match.
