IND vs AUS: India's star pacer Jasprit Bumrah is on the verge of becoming the fastest Indian pacer to have achieved the milestone of taking 200 wickets in the longest format. He can achieve this milestone during the fourth Test match against Australia, which will be held in Melbourne.
Kapil Dev achieved this milestone in his 50th Test match against the West Indies way back in March 1983. Bumrah is just six wickets shy from achieving this milestone as he has taken 194 wickets after playing in 43 Test matches at a brilliant economy rate of 2.75, which includes six four-fers and 12 five-fors.
If Bumrah does take six wickets in the Boxing Day Test match, then he will also become the second-fastest Indian to have taken 200 wickets apart from Ravindra Jadeja. Recently retired veteran spinner R Ashwin was the fastest to have achieved this milestone after playing in 37 Test matches and that too way back in 2016.

He was also adjudged the Player of the Match award during the series opener, where he took eight wickets and that also includes a five-for. Due to his match-winning performances, India thrashed Australia by a huge margin of 295 runs and were leading the five-match series by 1-0.
The speedster once again put up a brilliant performance during the third Test in Brisbane. During the first innings, he took a six-for and helped the visitors force the match to a tie. And now that the Border-Gavaskar Trophy is currently leveled at 1-1, the visitors will aim to repeat their heroics at the MCG.
