IND vs AUS 2nd ODI: Ex-Australia wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist took to his official Instagram account and shared a photo of himself with Rohit Sharma. He had played against Rohit during the 2008 Commonwealth Bank series and had also shared the dressing room with him in IPL, where they played for Deccan Chargers between 2008 and 2010.
A social media post had gone viral where Gilchrist is seen praising Rohit by saying that it was a pleasure for him to play both against and with him.
“This bloke reminded me today it was standing on this very ground, the beautiful @adelaideoval, when we first met each other in 2008. It was just when we’d both been bought by the Deccan Chargers, in the very first @iplt20 auction. From there, a friendship was born. An old bull leaving International cricket, partnering with a young bull on the rise to becoming one of India's greats. @rohitsharma45 it’s been a pleasure to play against and with you, to observe you as a broadcaster and fan, and even better to know you as a mate. #kepke," Gilchrist had written the caption of this post.
