Australia vs India, Adelaide Pink-ball Test match: India and Australia will face off in the second Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Adelaide which will start on December 6.

The second Test of the five-match series will be a pink-ball Test and Australia will be looking to bounce back after losing the first Test in Perth.

Known as the pioneers of Day-Night cricket, Australia have dominated this format with remarkable consistency, having played 12 pink-ball Tests and losing only once.

The Adelaide Oval is majorly referred to as the home of pink-ball cricket and the iconic venue also has been a fortress for Australia.

The day-night test was introduced in 2015 to add excitement among the fans and attract larger crowds in the stands and on the television screen.

The first-ever pink-ball test was played between Australia and New Zealand at the Adelaide Oval, marking the beginning of a new tradition in the longest format of the game. Australia won that match by three wickets.

As Australia look to make a comeback in the all-important series, they couldn't have asked for a better platform and conditions, especially in front of the Indian team which has a bit of inexperience in the batting lineup.

Despite losing the first match, Australia will come out at Adelaide with a psychological upper hand, having defeated India in the pink-ball match in their last tour.

India were bowled out for just 36 runs in their second innings in that match which they also lost by 8 wickets.
