The Border-Gavaskar Trophy has once again been marred by dubious umpiring decisions and the Indian cricket team, once again, got themselves embroiled in the storm roused by the Decision Review System (DRS).
A close debate on the latest controversy erupted after the third umpire, ruled on a decision that went against the Indian team, although there were indications that the ball might have first hit the Mitchell Marsh's pad before hitting the bat.
Suddenly, there was disappointment and a question mark on the Indian side regarding the DRS.

In what appears to be a leg before wicket (LBW) appeal against Mitchell Marsh made by Ravichandran Ashwin, the on-field umpire surprisingly gave the Australian batter not out.
The Indian team review the decision, and after going through the replays, the third umpire surprisingly sustained the on-field call, citing the absence of conclusive evidence that the ball hit the pad first.
Resuming play after a first-day score of 86/1, the Australians made steady progress to reach 191 runs at tea.
