IND vs ENG 1st Test: In what was a bizarre incident where England's star opener Ben Duckett attempted a flat throw as he aimed it towards the wicket, but it had instead hit Harry Brook on his ribs as he was seen reeling in excruciating pain owing to the effect of the throw, as things went from bad to embarassing for the hosts. Rishabh Pant tried to take a single after he had smashed the ball towards slips in Shoaib Bashir's over.
Duckett was seen running from point and had attempted a flat throw by using his right hand to take Shubman Gill's catch.
Brook, who was standing at the slip, bent down so that he didn't have to throw the ball. But what he didn't expect was the ball hitting him directly on his ribs.

Brook then immediately fell on the ground reeling with excruciating pain and that made both his teammates and the Indian cricketers laugh.
Brook did receive some medical treatment and then returned back to the ground smiling and that showed that the flat throw didn't affect him that much.
The England fielders had a hard time fielding as the Indian batters had put up dominant performances while batting first.
At the same time, Rishabh Pant brought up a brilliant hundred whereas India captain Shubman Gill registered his career-best Test knock but the English bowlers did take four wickets and restricted India to 454/7 till lunch on Day 2.
Skipper Shubman Gill (147) and vice-captain Pant (134) were unfazed as they stitched a partnership of 95 runs in their overnight score of 359/3 but after that both the set batters were dismissed.
Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur helped the visitors bounce back as Ben Stokes bowled the last over before lunch.
Pant, who started Day 2 on 65 runs, spearheaded the batting attack along with Gill, who played the role of a second fiddle.
Pant, who stitched a partnership of 209 runs with Gill for the fourth wicket, was in sublime form till he was dismissed by off-spinner Shoaib Bashir.
