IND vs ENG 1st Test: India's star wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant might receive a hefty fine for getting angry on the third day of the first Test match against England. Pant left the on-field umpire Paul Reiffel surprised by the way he reacted after the Men in Blue were denied for a change in the ball during the first session on Day 3. Pant was seen throwing the ball toward the ground and didn't hesitate to show his frustration since their request was denied.
The visitors were constantly seen requesting the on-field umpires and reckoned that the ball's shape had changed entirely. Jasprit Bumrah was the pacer to raise this issue to the on-field umpire Chris Gaffney.
Since the ball had been bowled for more than 60 overs, Pant urged Paul Reiffel to take a look at the shape of the ball with the help of the gauge. Reiffel did use the gauge and the ball passed through it smoothly and that is why the umpire denied his request. Pant then requested the on-field umpire to check the shape again but Reiffel didn't change his decision.
When Pant returned to his fielding position, he threw the ball angrily toward the ground and that left Reiffel stunned. The fans present at the venue also looked surprised after Pant's heated exchange with the umpire.

And after two overs, skipper Shubman Gill also made the same request to Gaffney about changing the ball and it was again denied.
The Indian bowlers have been seen struggling to produce swing or seam movement on Day 3. Ravindra Jadeja came into the bowl earlier as he tried to dismantle England's batting lineup.
But it was fast bowlers Prasidh Krishna and Mohammed Siraj, who gave the visitors the much-needed breakthrough during the morning. Star batter Ollie Pope, who started his innings on 106 runs, became the first batter to be dismissed. During the 52nd over, Prasidh Krishna had bowled a peachy delivery to dismiss him. As he tried to play a cut shot, Pope edged it and Pant took the catch.
Siraj then dismissed England skipper Ben Stokes, who was frustrated with himself for failing to convert a good start. Stokes got out after scoring just 20 runs during the 65th over.
Harry Brook, who survived a nervy dismissal on the second day, batted aggressively against pacers and quickly brought up 40 runs and thus left the Indian bowlers frustrated.
Although Pant's on-field interaction might be slammed, he did create a loss of record in Leeds. On Day 2, he smashed his seventh Test century and then also achieved the feat of taking 150 catches in the longest format and had become just the third Indian wicket-keeper batter besides MS Dhoni and Syed Kirmani to have achieved this milestone.
