IND vs ENG 2nd T20I: India skipper Suryakumar Yadav was seen bowing down to star batter Tilak Varma after the star batter took the team across the line at the Chepauk stadium. Tilak had scored an unbeaten match-winning knock of 72 runs and helped the hosts win the match by two wickets.
Tilak chased down the target brilliantly after the Men in Blue were left tottering by England. The Jos Buttler-led side had posted a respectable target, where the England skipper had scored a gritty knock of 45 runs and Brydon Carse had scored 30 runs. India, in reply, lost openers Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson fell cheaply and that's when Tilak came in to bat.
The youngster went all-guns-blazing as he and Suryakumar Yadav built a steady partnership but then the Indian captain got out. The wickets kept falling at regular intervals and they were reeling at 78/5 and all eyes were on Tilak. Both he and Washington helped the team bounce back but the team again suffered a batting collapse. Tilak was then seen changing the strike and trusted the tailenders, who took the team across the line.
He had scored the winning runs with four balls remaining and the hosts are now leading the series by 2-0. After the match, Tilak celebrated in his signature pose and Suryakumar was then seen bowing down to the youngster.
