IND vs ENG 4th Test Day 5 Weather Report: Indian skipper Shubman Gill and KL Rahul had put up a brilliant fightback on the fourth day of the ongoing Test match. After reeling at 0/2, India's top-order batters have stitched an unbeaten partnership of 174 runs and have kept the team's hopes alive during the ongoing series.

The Shubman Gill-led side is already trailing by 2-1 after playing in three Test matches, as they are aiming to win or draw the match so that the series is leveled, as the fifth Test match would be held at the Oval. But things might become trickier for the visitors owing to the unpredictable nature of the surface during the ongoing match.

The Men in Blue are quite hopeful of favourable weather conditions as they aim to help the team bounce back. The side had already been dealt a huge blow as star wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant had sustained a foot injury and would hope that rain in Manchester would help them.

Rain will play spoilsport on the fifth day of the fourth Test match. Chances are high that it will rain during the morning session. As per Accuweather.com, Manchester would experience heavy rainfall during the first three hours of the match. But the chance of rain would decrease as the match progresses.

The visitors need to bat patiently during the stages under overcast conditions. During the fourth day, they suffered two early blows as both Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sai Sudharsan were dismissed on a duck on consecutive deliveries in Chris Woakes over. But KL Rahul and Shubman Gill helped the team bounce back by stitching a partnership of 174 runs in 63 overs.

They also stayed unbeaten till the stumps.

The Shubman Gill-led side is trailing by 137 runs after the host posted a mammoth target of 669 runs. It was the first time that the Ben Stokes-led side posted more than 600 runs at their backyard after 2011. Joe Root and Ben Stokes smashed centuries apiece, whereas openers Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, and Zak Crawley scored fifties each.
