IND vs NZ ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Final: Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has finally revealed the logic behind his on-field yelling at his fellow teammates and reckoned that he always criticizes them so that he can bring out what is best for the team. His captaincy skills have often been described as direct or vocal, where he is often seen shouting at his teammates when they commit a misfield or a tactical error in a game.

During an interaction on Jio Cinema, Rohit explained and revealed that the teammates understand what his intentions are and they know that it's for the better of the team.

"I have a relationship with them such that even if I say something to them on the ground, they know I am saying that for their good and the team’s good. What joy am I getting by simply speaking like that to them? I think it’s just only because we want to be the tidiest team, the most clinical team on the field," Rohit was quoted as saying on Jio Cinema.

"We talk about that, but doing it on the field is also as important. It happens. At times, we make small mistakes and I get emotional, I have to get emotional. But, they all understand me, if I have screamed at someone in a particular over, they know it’s just for that over. I will immediately forget it and get on with it. Yes, these things happen and there’s fun in them," he concluded.

His aggressive captaincy skills were visible in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 semifinal against the Steve Smith-led side, where both he and Virat Kohli were seen getting annoyed by Kuldeep Yadav's shoddy fielding efforts. The incident happened during the 32nd over, where Steve Smith had smashed the ball towards deep mid-wicket where Kuldeep was standing and took a single. Kohli then ran towards the ball and threw it back to Kuldeep, who was standing at the non-striker's end but Kuldeep couldn't take hold of the ball and that left both Kohli and Rohit frustrated.

A similar situation occurred during the summit clash against New Zealand, where Rohit and Kohli were again left disappointed due to poor fielding efforts by Kuldeep Yadav. This incident reminded everyone of the five-match Test series against Australia, where Rohit was seen getting annoyed by Yashasvi Jaiswal for his poor fielding efforts while standing at a silly point.

Rohit might be tough but his captaincy skills are deeply respected. He is often seen having open communication with his fellow teammates and that shows how committed he is to building a team that can perform brilliantly under immense pressure at the top level.
