IND vs OMA Asia Cup 2025: India's T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav didn't take Pakistan's name during the post-match presentation after their last group stage against Oman, even though they will lock horns with their arch-rivals for the second time on Sunday, September 21. In the post-match presentation, ex-India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar asked him about playing against Pakistan once again.

But Sut Suryakumar's four-word reaction sent a clear indication that they are not bothered about who their next opponent is.

“All set for Sunday’s match against Pakistan?" Manjrekar asked. And to this Suryakumar replied, “All set for Super 4,".

It should be noted here that the group stage match between arch-rivals India and Pakistan led to a huge controversy as Suryakumar didn't shake hands with Pakistan's skipper.

This incident led to the PCB filing a complaint to the ICC and sending lots of emails, where they had asked the cricketing body to sack on-field umpire Andy Pycroft and reveal that he didn't uphold the spirit of the game.

The India vs Pakistan match was held after the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor.

Pakistan finally decided to back out of their pullout threat and played the do-or-die match against the host earlier this week, but had also created drama before the match by arriving at the stadium an hour late, as ICC repeatedly refused to sack Pycroft.

Initially, the Men in Green didn't leave their hotel for this match in order to show their protest against Pycroft being part of this match, and it started at 9 p.m. IST.

It's important for the teams to reach the venue two hours before any match, and the Salman Ali Agha-led side failed to do so.

The PCB chairman and ACC head Mohsin Naqvi were informed by ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta in a conference that Pycroft will stay as the match umpire.

The ICC made it clear that Pycroft will remain as the match referee as he had followed all the rules and regulations of the game.
