India vs Oman, Asia Cup 2025: India's captain Suryakumar Yadav playfully quipped that he was beginning to resemble former skipper Rohit Sharma after he forgot the changes in the team's Playing XI during the clash against Oman in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025.

Suryakumar won the toss and opted to bat in the last Group A match against Oman, but he faced a moment of on-field fun when he forgot the team changes on live television, leading him to make a humorous comment.

The India captain successfully stated that Harshit Rana has been added to the playing XI as part of two changes; however, when veteran commentator Ravi Shastri asked him to reveal the second change, the skipper fumbled and was unable to recall the name.

Those unfamiliar, Rohit Sharma's lapses in memory have become somewhat of a legend as his absent-minded moments of misplacing important documents like his passport and leaving behind an iPad have become a regular joke within the Indian cricket team dressing room.

"We are looking to bat first. We have not batted first in this competition and we want to know our depth. Having game time is important going into the Super 4s. We want to continue the good habits we are doing in the first two games and want to continue to do that," Suryakumar Yadav said at the time of the toss.

"It is looking nice and our openers will assess it further. We have two changes - Harshit comes in, one more guy comes in, I have become like Rohit (laughs)," he added.
