IND vs PAK ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Emotions were seen running high during the high-octane clash between India and Pakistan on Sunday. One of the biggest highlights of the match occurred when Pakistan skipper Mohammed Rizwan, who held the innings from one end, got out at an important juncture and that made both the Indian players and the fans celebrate wildly.
Mohammad Rizwan won the toss and chose to bat first and they suffered a top-order batting collapse. The Indian bowlers struck early as Hardik Pandya dismissed Babar Azam after scoring just 23 runs and then Imam-Ul-Haq got out after scoring just 10 runs.
Mohammed Rizwan and Saud Shakeel built a solid partnership
Pakistan bounced back after Rizwan stitched a gritty partnership with Saud Shakeel. They built a partnership of 104 runs and helped the team post a respectable target. But Rizwan was inching closer towards his well-deserved fifty.
And just when Rizwan was looking in sublime form, India's star all-rounder Axar Patel rose to the occasion during the 34th over. Rizwan tried to play a slog sweep and tried to go big. But Axar bowled a brilliant delivery as it went up in the air and Rizwan mistimed the shot.
Due to this, he got out after scoring 46 runs and was four runs short of his half-century. The partnership finally came to an end and the Men in Blue got their breakthrough.

With Rizwan's dismissal, India's star batter Virat Kohli's reaction too went viral. His aggressive celebration along with Harshit Rana entertained the fans at the venue.
India put Pakistan on the back foot
Initially in the game, even though the Men in Green suffered a batting collapse, their middle order showed resistance. On the back of Rizwan and Shakeel's gritty partnership, they were able to bounce back after the Indian bowlers took early wickets. Speaking of the game, Pakistan was tottering at 166/5 after 36 overs where Salman Ali Agha and Khushdil Shah were out there in the middle and tried to help the team post a respectable target.
