IND vs PAK ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Pakistan won the toss during the high-octane clash against arch-rivals India in Dubai and chose to bat first. But this decision didn't work in their favor as they suffered a top-order batting collapse and lost two wickets during the first powerplay.
India's star all-rounder Hardik Pandya gave the team the much-needed breakthrough as he first dismissed Babar Azam and then ended the gritty partnership between Mohammed Rizwan and Saud Shakeel for the fourth wicket. Speaking of the game, the Men in Green are 103/2 after 25.3 overs and Rizwan and Shakeel had built a partnership of 56 runs.
Mohammad Rizwan barges his elbow to Harshit Rana
Pakistan's dressing room became annoyed as they built partnerships at a very slow rate. Rizwan, who was seen rotating the strike continuously, couldn't find much success all his shots were going directly towards the fielder. At the same time, a heated incident happened, where Rizwan was seen bumping his shoulder with Harshit Rana after he tried to take a single.
A video went viral on social media, where Rizwan wasn't pleased with Harshit Rana standing in his way and that's why he bumped his shoulder to ensure that the youngster stepped aside. Rana didn't take this in positive stride and was frustrated with the Pakistan skipper and was also seen hurling abuses.

Mohammad Rizwan also lost his cool in the first match vs New Zealand
It should be noted here that this wasn't the first time in the ongoing mega-event that Rizwan grabbed the limelight for all the wrong reasons. He also was seen getting annoyed with Shaheen Afridi during the tournament opener against New Zealand.
Rizwan wasn't pleased with Afridi for not choosing the proper field placement and got annoyed after he conceded a four.
