India vs West Indies 2nd Test: The second Test between India and the West Indies kicked off on Friday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. India are already 1-0 up in the two-match series, having won the first match by an innings and 140 runs well inside three days in Ahmedabad.

As India opted to bat first after winning the toss, the West Indies players took the field for bowling, but they were wearing black armbands. On day 1 of the ongoing Test in Delhi, the West Indies players came up with this gesture to pay tribute to Bernard Julien, who passed away earlier during the week.

He picked up 50 wickets in Tests and 18 in ODIs in addition to scoring 866 runs in Tests and 86 in ODIs. West Indies make two changes

With an aim to produce an improved effort and level things up in the two-match series, the West Indies came up with a couple of changes in their playing XI. Brandon King and pacer Johann Layne are out, and they are replaced by wicketkeeper Tevin Imlach and fast bowler Anderson Phillip.

On the other hand, India fielded an unchanged lineup amid the speculations regarding the possibility of rest to a few players.

Shubman Gill is the captain of India’s Test team, and on Friday, he won his first toss as red-ball captain of the national team. In England, Gill lost five tosses in a row, and in Ahmedabad last week as well, the coin didn't land in his favour.
