India vs West Indies 2nd Test: Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed a remarkable century during the second Test between India and the West Indies at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Friday. India reached 220/1 in their first innings at the tea break on the first day of the match.

This was Jaiswal's seventh Test century as he produced a batting masterclass, smashing the West Indies bowlers all around the park. The star opener is now third in the list of Indian batters with the most centuries in international cricket by the age of 23, only behind Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli.

Jaiswal started off well, stitching a 58-run opening stand with KL Rahul. The latter was dismissed for 38 runs before Sai Sudharan arrived in the middle. The duo recovered things well for India and took the West Indies completely out of the game, at least in the second session. The duo has stitched an outstanding partnership of 162 runs for the second wicket.

Jaiswal remained unbeaten at the tea break on 111 runs, which he scored in 162 balls on the back of 16 fours, whereas Sai Sudharan is at the other end on 71. He has smashed 11 boundaries so far.

Jaiswal is the ninth Indian opener to score a century in a Test match played at Arun Jaitley Stadium as he joined the likes of Sunil Gavaskar and Gautam Gambhir in the elite list.
