U19 World Cup Final 2026: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi made sure that the Indian team's campaign would be remembered as one for the ages. Post India lifted their sixth title, Sooryavanshi took charge of theInstagram Live session in the dressing room. He went to Ayush Mhatre, and he told him that the players were ready to celebrate.
Mhatre was asked how the team had felt post lifting the trophy, and to this he said, “Jo bhi hai Vaibhav ki wajah se hai” (Whatever we have achieved is because of Vaibhav). After that, Sooryavanshi started dancing to Bhojpuri songs.
On Friday, Sooryavanshi smashed a brilliant ton and helped the team beat England during the summit clash. He had scored 175 runs off 80 balls, which also includes 15 fours and 15 sixes, and helped the team win by 100 runs.

HOW DID SOORYAVANSHI PERFORM IN WORLD CUP?
Sooryavanshi emerged as the standout performer of the tournament, finishing as India’s highest run-scorer and one of the most explosive batters on display. The 14-year-old left-hander piled up 439 runs in seven matches at an impressive average of 62.71 and a strike rate of 169.49, with one century and three half-centuries to his name.
His performance in the final was truly historic. Sooryavanshi registered the highest individual score ever in a U19 World Cup final and powered India to a formidable total of 411 for nine. Reaching his hundred in just 55 balls, he recorded the second-fastest century in U19 World Cup history and the fastest in a final. His fearless batting sealed India’s supremacy, earning him both Player of the Match and Player of the Tournament honours.
Caleb Falconer fought valiantly for England in the final, producing a superb 115 off just 67 balls, but his lone effort ultimately went in vain. Sooryavanshi’s incredible knock, however, proved decisive and comfortably overshadowed Falconer’s resistance.
