India Squad For West Indies Test 2025: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday named a 15-man squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against West Indies at home, starting from October 2 in Ahmedabad.
In a significant development for the India national cricket team, pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has been added to the squad. This announcement follows Bumrah's limited participation in England due to workload management, during which he played in only three of the five Tests.
Despite concerns over workload management, pace spearhead Bumrah has been included, and the Chairman of Selectors, Ajit Agarkar, stated that the speedster is keen to play both Tests.
“Jasprit Bumrah is ready and keen to play both Tests against the West Indies,” chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar said in a press conference.
"We want best for Bumrah but team always comes first. We have to be careful with big tournaments around," he added.
