India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test, Day 3 HIGHLIGHTS: Play Called Off On Sunday Due To Wet Outfield

Wasim Akram, a former Pakistan pacer, praised Rishabh Pant's perfomance in his comeback Test match against Bangladesh. Akram was impressed by Pant's ability to receover from serious accident and continue playing at a high level. He expressed his admiration for Pant's resilience and determination. 

R Ashwin on his Youtube channel said that Gambhir and Dravid as coaches, saying that both have different styles but Gambhir was the more relaxed. 

This might come as a shock to many given Dravid's calm demeanour and Gambhir's fiery persona but according to Ashwin, the ex-Kolkata Knight Riders' mentor is very laid back behind the scenes. 

The third inspection will take place at 2 pm IST. There are still some damp patches on the outfield.

Bangladesh are 107/3 after 35 overs with Mominul Haque (40 off 81) and Mushfiqur Rahim (6 off 13) standing unbeaten at the crease. Akash Deep bags a figure of 2/34 in 10 overs while Ravichandran Ashwin has returned 1/22 in 9 overs.

Rain has stopped but the start of play has been delayed in the second session due to the wet outfield. The super soppers are running on the covers and the light has improved a bit while umpires have a chat with grounsmen. 

The first session fully has been washed out and no play was possible due to continuous rain in Kanpur. The lunch has been taken and there has been no rain for a while. Let's hope for the best update after the break.

India defeated Bangladesh by 280 runs in the first Test in Chennai to go 1-0 up in the two-match series. Ravichandran Ashwin was the star performer in the match as he scored 113 runs and picked six wickets. While Rishabh Pant (109) and Shubman Gill (119*) smashed memorable hundreds, Ravindra Jadeja finished with 86 runs and five wickets under his belt.

After the play was stopped due to bad light it started pouring down heavily in Kanpur.

After 35 over Team India look in a solid position after Ashwin struck right in the second session, removing well set batter Najmul Hossain Shanto.

India are in a strong position. Akash Deep struck early in the innings, removing both Bangladesh openers. After losing both openers Najmul Hossain Shanto keeps the scoreboard ticking for his team. BAN at 51/2 17 overs

Star speedster Akash Deep drew first blood. He removes Bangladesh opener Zakir Hasan as Yashasvi Jaiswal takes an excellent grab in the 9th over. BAN at 26/1 in 8.3 overs

The hosts got off to a fine start after opting to field first as star pacer Jasprit Bumrah pinned Bangladesh's openers in both overs. Bumrah targeted the offside stump of Zakir Hasan, as the opener was not able to open his account in the third consicutive over from Bumrah. BAN at 12/0 in 5 overs

Rohit Sharma: "We are going to bowl first. The pitch seems a bit soft, so we have to make early inroads and we want our three seamers to make use of it. We didn't start well with the bat in the first game, but we found a way to score and the bowlers did the job. I expect no different here, we will be challenged but we have the experience. Same team."
