India vs Bangladesh, Asia Cup 2025: Bangladesh head coach Phil Simmons is undaunted by India's impressive unbeaten run in the Asia Cup 2025, emphasising that his team has the capacity to beat the reigning world champions and it won't matter what the Suryakumar Yadav-led side has achieved in the past four games.

Ahead of their upcoming match against India, Bangladesh's victory over Sri Lanka in their earlier Super 4 encounter has significantly lifted the Tigers' confidence.

Simmons, a veteran of the formidable West Indies team in the late 1980s, stated that no team is unbeatable - including Men in Blue and also stressed that, "Every team has the ability to beat India."

"Every team has the ability to beat India. The game is played on the day. It's not what India has done before. It's what happens on Wednesday. It's what happens during that three and a half hour period. We will try to play as best as we can and hope to find chinks in India's armoury. That's the way we win games," Simmons said at the pre-match press conference ahead of the India clash.

The head coach encouraged his players to absorb the charged atmosphere, the electric environment that typically surrounds matches involving India, with an enjoyment of the occasion.

"Every game, especially games involving India, have hype because they're the number one T20 team in the world. There must be a hype. We're just going to ride on the hype. We're going to enjoy the moment and enjoy the game," he added.

Expressing optimism about the batting conditions at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Simmons believes the track is helping for batting, downplaying the toss' significant role in determining the winner of the match.

So far in the tournament, the Dubai International Cricket Stadium pitch has offered consistent bounce and pace that allows batters to play shots freely.

"I didn't see much of a difference in the wicket over the 40 overs. I think it's some of the best wickets I've seen here for a while. I think last night (India vs Pakistan) it was the same. The wicket was really good for batting. Bowlers had to bowl properly. I don't think the toss has that much of an effect," the Bangladesh captain said.
