India vs Pakistan: India's emphatic victory over Pakistan on Sunday sparked a social media frenzy, with the internet ablaze with sarcasm, memes, and geopolitical quips and Google India also jumped into the frenzy with a witty post.

Ishan Kishan's explosive half-century, marked by brute power and silken finesse, laid the foundation for India's dominant 61-run win over Pakistan, securing a Super Eight spot in the T20 World Cup.

Kishan's supersonic 77 (40b) on a garish Premadasa pitch was worth its weight in gold, carrying India to a challenging 175/7 after they were asked to bat first. It was easily one of the most delightful T20I knocks by an Indian batter if one factors in the degree of difficulty.

Pakistan needed a strong Power Play segment to chase 176 on this surface. But Bumrah (2/17) and Hardik Pandya (2/16) jettisoned big-hitting Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub and Salman Ali Agha to bowl them out for 114, reducing the much-anticipated match into a no-contest. India now lead 8-1 in all T20 World Cup encounters.

India captain Suryakumar Yadav lauded Kishan for his sublime effort on a tough pitch. He also ranked India's 175 for seven a very good total considering the surface.

"I think this (win) is for India. We played the same brand of cricket what we wanted to play. Batting first was better option on this wicket. Ishan thought something out of the box.

"After 0/1, someone had to take responsibility and the way he took it was amazing. We felt it (the total) was 15 above par. 155 could've been a tight game. It was great to see everyone contributing with the ball. We'll go back, have a good time together as a team and then think about the other games when we take the flight to Ahmedabad," said Suryakumar.
