IND vs PAK T20 World Cup 2026: Mohsin Naqvi, who is the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, was seen leaving the venue in a rush during the middle of the second innings of the high-octane clash against India. A video had gone viral where his car is seen standing outside the stadium even when the match was still going on, whereas the media revealed that he had left after Mohammad Nawaz's dismissal.
His dismissal had all but decided Pakistan's result in this game. After that, they were reeling at 77/5 while chasing a target of 176 runs. They were skittled out for 114 runs and thus lost the match by 61 runs.

After looking at these images, a few fans were of the view that Naqvi ran away even before Pakistan could lose to India. Naqvi, being the chief of both PCB and Asian Cricket Council (ACC), hasn't gone down well with the Indian fans.
As a conservative politician and interior minister, he’s famously anti-Indian on his social media accounts. Then, last year, he refused to give up the stage when the Indian team said they didn’t want to take the Asia Cup trophy from his hands. Naqvi eventually left the ground with the trophy and has yet to return it.
Naqvi spearheaded PCB’s side during the recent conversations between the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) over the Pakistan government’s now-redacted order to boycott the India game.
Live pictures from the broadcast showed Naqvi in one of the VVIP boxes at the ground. According to some reports, he was present at the venue to have an ice-breaking chat with the chairman, Jay Shah. Though they weren’t spotted together, Naqvi did meet Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) officials.
