IND vs PAK T20 World Cup 2026: Babar Azam’s woeful performance against the Men in Blue in the ongoing mega event has continued in Colombo. While chasing a target of 176 runs, he had scored just 5 runs off seven balls and was dismissed by Axar Patel. After playing in six matches against India, he had scored 110 runs at an average of 22.

Babar came in to bat at No.4 position as the Salman Ali Agha-led side were reeling at 6/2 as openers Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub got out quickly. After Salman Agha's wicket, they were 13/3, and then Axar Patel took his wicket.

Axar had bowled a peachy delivery. While trying to go big, Babar mistimed the shot as his stumps went cartwheeled. Axar dismantled Pakistan's batting lineup in the high-octane match.

HOW HAS BABAR PERFORMED AGAINST INDIA?

Babar Azam got off to a brilliant start against India in T20Is, scoring an unbeaten 68 in the 2021 T20 World Cup at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. However, since then, he has managed just 42 runs from five matches at an average of 8.40, with scores of 10, 14, 0, 13, and 5, struggling to find his feet against India in the shortest format.

In the ongoing T20 World Cup, Babar has experienced mixed fortunes. In three games, he has scored 66 runs at an average of 22 and a strike rate of 115.78. He began with a scratchy 15 off 18 balls against the Netherlands, found momentum against the United States with 46 off 32, including four fours and a six, before falling to Mohammad Mohsin.
