The high-voltage contest between India and Pakistan in the upcoming ODI World Cup in India is set to be rescheduled to October 14, a day earlier than it was originally planned to take place.
A few more adjustments are expected to take place in the World Cup schedule as earlier confirmed by the BCCI Secretary Jay Shah with the official announcement regarding the same expected to be made o July 31 (today).

Shah said that a few changes were likely after three boards wrote to the ICC requesting a calendar adjustment last week.
He revealed that only the dates and times of the matches would be adjusted in order to decrease the gap to 4-5 days, but the names of the members who asked for the changes were not made public.
"Three members have written to the ICC for a schedule change. Only the date and timings will be changed, venues will not be changed. If there is a six-day gap between games, we are trying to reduce it to 4-5 days. The picture will be clear in three-four days. Changes will happen in consultation with the ICC," Shah had said.
The decision to make changes to the India vs Pakistan fixture in the 2023 ODI World Cup has been taken after the local police in Ahmedabad expressed concerns about ensuring reliable security on October 15 along with the commencement of the Navratri festival on the same day.
The announcement of changes in schedule created a sense of insecurity among fans who had already made travel arrangements, including booking flights and hotels in Ahmedabad for the high-profile clash.
India vs Pakistan match has been a pinnacle of a contest in world cricket over the years and is one of the most watched sporting events globally.
India have the upper hand with a 7-0 head-to-head record against Pakistan in Cricket World Cup history as they both last competed in the 2019 ODI World Cup where the Men in Blue picked up a thumping win.
The marquee event, on the other hand, will begin on October 5 at the same venue with defending champions England facing New Zealand.
