India vs West Indies 1st Test: With an eye on a monumental feat – equalling legendary batter Don Bradman's captaincy record in the Ahmedabad Test - Shubman Gill leads India against the West Indies in the first game of the series.
A strong start could also force him to become one of the fastest batters to reach 1000 Test runs as skipper, should he score 246+ in the first innings.
Gill is tantalizingly close to emulating Don Bradman's record. Bradman completed 1000 Test runs as captain in 11 innings, while Gill has already scored 754 runs in just 10 innings as India's captain.

Pant, currently out with a foot injury, has played 38 matches in the World Test Championship for India, amassing 2731 runs.
Talking about the match, West Indies won the toss and opted to bat first against India in their first Test of the two-match series at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday.
