IND-W vs PAK-W, ICC Women's World Cup 2025: India women posted a challenging total of 247 runs in their 50 overs against Pakistan in match 6 of the ongoing ICC Women's World Cup 2025 at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday.
Richa Ghosh provided the finishing touches with an impactful effort, having scored an unbeaten 35 runs in just 20 balls. She smashed three fours and two sixes. 11 runs came off the final over, but Diana Baig managed to pick two wickets, finishing with 4/69 in her 10 overs.
Harleen Deol was the top run-getter for the Women in Blue as she came up with a crucial contribution of 46 runs in 65 balls, hitting four boundaries and a six. Both the openers, Pratika Rawal (31) and Smriti Mandhana (23), got starts but couldn't convert them. Jemimah Rodrigues (32), Deepti Sharma (25) and Sneh Rana (20) also produced little contributions while the skipper Harmanpreet Kaur was dismissed for just 10 runs.

Apart from Diana, who took four wickets, skipper Fatima Sana had a brilliant outing with the ball as she led from the front with a couple of wickets for 38 runs in her 10 overs. Sadia Iqbal also found a couple of scalps, while Rameen Shamim and Nashra Sandhu also took a wicket each.

Pakistan headed into the game on the back of a defeat in their tournament opener against Bangladesh by 7 wickets, whereas India got the better of Sri Lanka. India have a dominating 11-0 lead over their arch-rivals when it comes to the head-to-head battle in the ODIs.
