IND-W vs AUS-W, Women's World Cup: Australia captain Alyssa Healy won the toss and opted to bowl against India in their ICC Women's World Cup 2025 encounter at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Sunday.
Healy stated that the team has made one change as they brought in spin all-rounder Sophie Molineux in place of Georgia Wareham in the crunch game. India retained the same playing XI as in the previous game, which they lost to South Africa.
Speaking at the time of toss, Healy said, "We're going to bowl. Got dewy last evening while training. Just one change. Molineux is back, and Wareham misses out. At some point during World Cups, you just need to get what needs to be done and get the win. My first time back in Vizag in a long time. It should be a great atmosphere. Girls are pumped for that."
India captain Harmanpreet Kaur said, "The Pitch looks better than what we had in the last game. Same XI. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. It's about how you bounce back. We were there in the game for 95 overs, lots of positives for us. They've always been important for us. Always been nice, cheering the team day and night. The biggest part of our lives is getting this support."
