India women's national cricket team vs Australia women's national cricket team match scorecard: Australia women won the toss and opted to bowl first against India women in the second ODI match at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur on Wednesday, September 17.

India have suffered a major blow as their star batter Jemimah Rodrigues has been ruled out of the remainder of the three-match series due to a viral infection and weakness. While the BCCI medical team is monitoring her progress, the women's selection committee named Tejal Hasabnis as he replacement in the squad.

The Women in Blue made two changes in their playing XI for the second ODI match as Arundhati Reddy and Renuka Thakur replaced Jemimah and Shree Charani. India will be aiming to produce an improved performance in order to remain alive in the three-match series. They will be heading into the match on the back of an 8-wicket defeat in the previous match.

"We are okay with that. We wanted to bat today. There are a few things we want to improve, about the matchups and when to take on the bowler and all those things; hopefully, we want to execute better today. We have made 2 changes today. Renuka and Arundhati are back for us. Renuka is always there whenever we need her, so it is good to have her back in the side," Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur said at the toss.

With an aim to seal the series, the Aussies also came up with a couple of changes as Darcie Brown and Georgia Voll came in for Kim Garth and Phoebe Litchfield.

"We are gonna bowl. Love the way Wicket came on under the lights. A couple of nice days off, everyone is in a really good place, which we are really happy about. Always a few areas we can improve on, there are always little things we can tinker with and that is what this series is all about. 2 changes for us. Darcie Brown and Georgia Voll come in for Kim Garth and Phoebe Litchfield," Aussie skipper Alyssa Healy said at the toss.
