Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman Arun Dhumal has announced that new lead sponsor for the Indian cricket team will be unveiled within the next two to three weeks. The Indian team is playing the Asia Cup 2025 without any sponsor on their jerseys.

The hunt for a new jersey sponsor began after Dream11 ended its contract due to the enactment of the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill 2025.

India kicked off their Asia Cup 2025 campaign on a positive note, registering a dominating 9-wicket win over the hosts UAE in their first group A match. The Men in Blue will play the whole continental tournament without the sponsor. Their much-awaited clash against the arch-rivals Pakistan is scheduled to take place in Dubai on September 14.

When will India get new sponsor?

"I think what is done is done (on Dream 11’s exit). I would not like to talk about that. But we have started the ball rolling as far as the next sponsor is concerned. I am sure within 2-3 weeks we will get to know that," Dhumal told reporters on Friday.

Dhumal went on to say that the BCCI is strictly adhering to the government's stance on cricketing ties with Pakistan amid heightened tensions following the Pahalgam terror attack and 'Operation Sindoor'.

"The government has made it very clear that we will not play bilaterals and only feature against Pakistan in multilateral tournaments. We are only following the government's advice."
