Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant took a break from cricket to engage in a tennis session with his idol, MS Dhoni, in Dubai. A video capturing the duo playing tennis at an indoor court surfaced on social media, showcasing moments of camaraderie between the two wicketkeeper-batsmen.

During the friendly match, Pant showcased his tennis skills, drawing cheers from onlookers with a powerful overhead smash that left Dhoni pleasantly surprised. The video went viral, delighting fans with the lighthearted interaction between the cricketing stars.

Pant, who had faced a life-threatening car accident last year and subsequently underwent knee surgery, provided an update on his recovery during the IPL 2024 auction. While expressing that he is feeling much better, Pant acknowledged that he is still on the path to achieving 100% fitness. He expects to be fully recovered in the coming months, aiming to return to competitive cricket.

"(I am feeling) much better (than) what I was doing a few months ago. So like, (I am) still on recovery towards 100 percent (fitness). But hopefully in a few months time, I'll be able to do it," Pant said.

The 26-year-old is currently undergoing rehabilitation for multiple injuries at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. Fans eagerly await his return to action during the upcoming IPL season, scheduled to commence in March.
