IPL 2024 Updated Points Table, Team Standings: Rajasthan Royals maintained their grip at the top of the points table further in the IPL 2024 as they clinched their fifth win of the season with a victory over Punjab Kings.
Rajasthan defeated Punjab Kings by three wickets in match 27 of the IPL 2024 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur on Saturday, April 13.
The Sanju Samson-led side continues to remain in the first position with five wins and 10 points under their belt.

They have a net run rate of +0.767 after the first six matches.
Punjab Kings retained their spot in the eighth place despite their fourth defeat of the season and have two wins and four points with a net run rate of -0.218.

The rest of the standings remain as same but so much of changes are expected with a double header scheduled for Sunday, April 14.
Kolkata Knight Riders are the next to follow RR in the table at the second spot with three wins and six points after the first four matches.
Ahead of their match against Lucknow Super Giants on Sunday, they have a promising net run rate of +1.528.
The defending champions Chennai Super Kings and LSG are placed third and fourth respectively with three wins and six points each.
Sunrisers Hyderabad and last season's finalists Gujarat Titans too have a similar amount of wins (3) and points (6 points).
They stand in the fifth and sixth positions with net run rates of +0.344 and -0.634 respectively.
While Mumbai remain in the seventh spot ahead of their all-important match against CSK with two wins and four points, DC continue to struggle in the ninth position.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru after their continuous disappointing performances stand at the bottom of the table.
They have won just one match in the tournament so far in their first six matches and have a net run rate of -1.124.

1. The top four teams on the IPL 2024 points table will qualify for the playoffs.
2. The teams will get two points for every win whereas the losing side will have nothing on board.
3. The points table will be updated after every IPL match.
4. If the match gets abandoned or terminated prematurely resulting in a No Result, both teams get a point each.
Talking about the PBKS vs RR match, the hosts were put into bat first and managed to post a challenging total of 147/8 in their 20 overs.
Ashutosh Sharma, once again played a key role for them with the bat, having scored 31 off just 16 balls with the help of three a four and three sixes.
Jitesh Sharma scored 29 runs in 24 balls whereas Liam Livingstone contributed with 21 off 14 on his return to the side.
Rajasthan Royals chased down the total on the second last ball of the match with three wickets in hand as Shimron Hetmyer applied the finishing touches.
Yashasvi Jaiswal was the top run-getter for them as he scored 39 runs in 28 balls on the back of four boundaries.
