IPL 2025 Mega Auction 1.5 Crores Base Price List: The BCCI unveiled the final shortlist of the IPL 2025 mega auction last week. Initially, 1574 players had registered for the mega auction but it was reduced to just 574 players after getting feedback from all the 10 teams. Of these 574 players, 366 are Indians and 208 overseas players, and of these 3 hail from Associate teams.
The final shortlist consists of 318 uncapped Indian players and 12 uncapped overseas players. It also includes 48 capped Indian players and 193 capped overseas cricketers, who would be going under the hammer at the mega auction.
All 10 teams revealed their retention lists last month, where there are just 204 slots available at the mega auction, where 70 slots would be up for grabs for overseas players. The Rs 2 crore category is the highest base price for the upcoming mega auction, where 81 players have registered themselves for this category.
Players with a reserve price of Rs 1.5 crore for the IPL auction 2025
About 27 players have registered themselves for a base price of Rs 1.5 crore at the upcoming mega auction. Ajinkya Rahane and Nitish Rana are some of the big players on this list. CSK released Rahane due to inconsistent performances whereas Nitish Rana played just two matches for KKR in IPL 2024.
As far as the overseas players are concerned, David Miller, Rachin Ravindra, and Rovman Powell have also registered themselves at a base price of Rs 1.5 crore. Miller had played for Gujarat Titans between IPL 2022 to 2024. He failed to fire with the bat this time, where he scored just 210 runs at a strike rate of 151.08. Rachin Ravindra scored 222 runs in the 10 matches that he played for CSK but Rovman Powell performed inconsistently as a finisher for RR.
