IPL 2025 Mega Auction: Lucknow Super Giants had roped in Australia's star all-rounder Mitchell Marsh for Rs 3.40 crore. Sunrisers Hyderabad also began bidding for him.Delhi Capitals, which was his previous franchise didn't use the RTM for him and he was thus then bought by the Super Giants.

Mitchell Marsh had entered his name at the IPL auction at a base price of Rs 2 crore.

Although he hasn't lived up to the expectations in the tournament till now he is still considered one of the best all-rounders in the world. He made his IPL debut in 2009 when he played for Deccan Chargers.

In IPL 2011, he then played for Pune Warriors India. He didn't play in the 2015 and 2016 season but then played for Rising Pune Supergiant in 2016. He played for them in just one season and then didn't play in the tournament for IPL 2020.

SRH bought him in IPL 2020 and then he joined DC in 2022. He has played in 42 IPL matches till now and has scored 665 runs and taken 37 wickets.

On the other hand, Punjab Kings roped in Glenn Maxwell for Rs 4.20 crore in Jeddah on Sunday.

SRH then started the bidding war for him and then CSK too entered. But it was Punjab Kings who eventually won the bidding war.

RCB released him before the IPL 2025 mega auction. He had represented RCB for the last three seasons.

He made his IPL debut in 2012 when he played for Delhi Daredevils. He then joined Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings and then RCB bought him.

He has played in 134 IPL matches and has scored 2772 runs at a strike rate of 156.73. He had taken 37 wickets at an economy rate of 8.28.

The Punjab-based franchise had broken their bank on Shreyas Iyer for a whopping amount of Rs 26.75 crore. They also retained Arshdeep Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal for Rs 18 crore.
