RCB vs CSK IPL 2025: Royal Challengers Bengaluru will lock horns with Chennai Super Kings on Saturday. There are a lot of reasons why the fans of both the teams are excited for the upcoming clash and since the speculations are rife that CSK skipper MS Dhoni might be playing his last match against RCB.
But, all this excitement does face a huge threat as there are high chances that rain will play a spoilsport in Bengaluru during this match.
Bengaluru has been experiencing continuous rain for the last few days and the weather conditions will remain the same on Saturday as well. As per Accuweather.com, there will be thunderstorms in Bengaluru between 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and there is a 92% chance of rainfall at 9 p.m.
Speaking about the current weather conditions in Bengaluru, it didn't look too gloomy but the city's weather does change constantly. But there is some good news as well as the M Chinnaswamy stadium is quite prepared for such a situation and they have the country's best drainage system, which will help the threat of the match getting delayed reduced, as was evident during their clash against Punjab Kings, which was reduced to 14-overs per side.
If the IPL 2025 clash between RCB and CSK is washed out, then both teams would get one point each. The Rajat Patidar-led side will get 15 points and they will once again become the table toppers of the points table.
At the same time, CSK will be winless for the fourth consecutive time. They have already been knocked out from the playoffs race as they had lost eight consecutive matches, but if this match does get washed out, then they will lose the opportunity to test their youngsters and help them prepare for IPL 2026.
The hosts will aim to continue their winning streak as they inch closer towards the end of their group-stage matches. At the same time, if the upcoming clash is washed out, then the most points they would score after the group stage would be 21 and would be just one point short of the highest points in the table of 22.
This would also mean that the last time these two teams faced each other this season was when RCB won and it was also the last time Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni played against each other in this tournament.
