IPL 2026 Auction: A star-studded lineup of cricketers, including Cameron Green, Ravi Bishnoi, Venkatesh Iyer, and Matheesha Pathirana, have opted for the highest reserve price tag of Rs 2 crore, joining the list of 45 players vying for the top price in the upcoming 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) auction.

As reported by ESPNcricinfo, notably, this time, the big-hitter and Australia's star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell will be one of the notable absences from the longlist.

The IPL player pool has surged to 1,355, as announced in the complete list received by ESPNcricinfo, with franchises receiving the final tally on Monday, following the November 30 registration deadline. With each team limited to 25 players, the upcoming auction will contest for 77 available slots, including 31 reserved for overseas players.

The wide player list will be pruned by the IPL, pending receipt of wishlists from all 10 franchises, ahead of the December 16 auction in Abu Dhabi. Franchises have until December 5 to submit their shortlisted players.

Kolkata Knight Riders, with a purse of Rs 64.3 crore, and Chennai Super Kings, boasting Rs 43.4 crore, lead the group in terms of available funds, and both franchises have an overseas player slot up for grabs.

According to Cricbuzz, Mayank Agarwal, KS Bharat, Rahul Chahar, Ravi Bishnoi, Akash Deep, Deepak Hooda, Venkatesh Iyer, Sarfaraz Khan, Shivam Mavi, Navdeep Saini, Chetan Sakariya, Kuldeep Sen, Prithvi Shaw, Rahul Tripathi, Sandeep Warrier and Umesh Yadav are topping the list of Indian aspirants for the mini auction.

Cameron Green, Matthew Short and Steve Smith lead the Australian players hoping to find teams.

The comprehensive list also has players like England's Jamie Smith and Jonny Bairstow, New Zealand opener Rachin Ravindra, Sri Lanka spinner Wanindu Hasaranga and pacer Matheesha Pathirana, among others.
