IPL 2026: Shubman Gill was at his absolute best in the Gujarat Titans' training session, and a video of him had gone viral, where he is seen smashing huge sixes and has set the tone for IPL 2026. The GT skipper looked aggressive as he was gearing up for the new season.

The video quickly went viral on social media, where the fans got excited to watch him back in action. It wasn't just a pre-season session, but also reminded everyone that he has moved on from a difficult phase in his international career.

Gill went through a rough patch lately. He sustained a neck injury during the Test series against South Africa last year, and he also gave the ODI series against the same opponent a miss, for which he was heavily slammed. He was also dropped from India's T20 World Cup team due to his poor form in the shortest format.

Now that the Suryakumar Yadav-led side is preparing for the Super 8 stage, Gill is gearing up for IPL 2026. Gujarat Titans started their pre-season camp, and the captain is ready to go.

PREPARATION MODE ON

Gill made his intent look clear in the training session. He didn't just time the ball brilliantly but also aimed for the stands continuously and was seen working on his power-hitting.

Post opening India's innings along with Abhishek Sharma in this format for a while, Gill was still dropped from the World Cup team. And now he will try to bounce back to form in IPL 2026.

IPL RECORD BUILDS EXPECTATION

He had a dream run in IPL 2025 as he was the fourth-highest run-scorer after scoring 650 runs by playing in 15 matches at an average of 50 and a brilliant strike rate of 155.88. But his efforts went in vain as they were eliminated during the Eliminator, where they lost to the Mumbai Indians.

He will try to bounce back in the upcoming season. As the skipper, he won't just try to score runs consistently but also help the team reach the playoffs.

If there's anything to go by these sessions, he looks at his best.
