IPL Auction 2026: Punjab's star batter Salil Arora has grabbed everyone's attention by smashing a hundred off just 39 balls. He scored this brilliant knock in their Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Super League match against Jharkhand on Friday. In his brilliant knock, he had smashed nine fours and 11 sixes and helped the team post a mammoth target of 235/6.

Arora's explosive innings and potential IPL prospects

Arora had taken bowler like Sushant Mishra to the cleaners by smashing three sixes and one four in his over. He came into bat at the No.5 position and scored an unbeaten knock of 125 runs off 45 balls. His brilliant knock has helped him become one of the players to watch out for in the IPL 2026 auction, where he registered his name at a base price of Rs 30 lakhs.

Kolkata Knight Riders might target Arora in the IPL auction

Kolkata Knight Riders, who will be looking to buy an Indian wicket-keeper, might break their bank on Arora next week in Abu Dhabi. His aggressive batting will be quite important for any team. It should be noted that he has played in just seven T20I matches. He also scored a brilliant knock of 44 runs against Jharkhand. He has scored 267 runs in this format at a strike rate of more than 165.

It should be noted here that Arora smashed a century during his debut first-class match. He scored 101 runs off 210 balls against Madhya Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy last year. He has scored 458 runs till now after playing in nine FC matches at a strike rate of 41.63 (50s: 3, 100s: 1).
