After the World Cup Final heartbreak at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, India are hosting the Aussies for the five-match T20I series as the build-up for next year's T20 World Cup in West Indies and USA.

India stand-skipper Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and opted to bowl first against Australia at Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam. India have rested senior players for the series including skipper Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, and Shreyas Iyer among others.

"We will bowl first. The wicket looks good, dew should come later and should make the pitch better. It's a little difficult, but there's always light at the end of the tunnel. Lots of positives and looking forward to the series. The guys have played a lot of franchise and domestic cricket, just told them to express and enjoy themselves. Washington, Shivam and Avesh are sitting out," Suryakumar Yadav said at the toss.
