IND vs ENG: The Men in Blue are currently gearing up for the upcoming Test series against England, which will begin on Friday. The BCCI unveiled the 18-member team in May for this series but there has been a last-minute addition as an extra pacer has been included ahead of the first Test match.

Fast bowler Harshit Rana has joined India's Test team after representing India-A during the two-match unofficial Test match series against England Lions. The youngster was seen in action during the first match and registered figures of 1/99 after bowling in 27 overs.

Ever since this news came out, another pacer Mukesh Kumar posted a cryptic post on his official Instagram account. “Karma bides its time. You will always have to watch out. Karma is unforgiving and always gets payback," this is what was written on his Instagram stories.

Mukesh too played for India A. And just like Harshit, he too was seen in action during the first unofficial Test match in Canterbury and registered better bowling figures as compared to others. After bowling in 25 overs, he registered figures of 3/92 and he had dismissed batters like Max Holden and England Lions skipper James Rew.

Mukesh made his debut in the longest format against West Indies way back in 2023 and has taken seven wickets till now after playing in three matches. He was also the part of India A team during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series as a traveling reserve, but the team management let him go halfway through that series.

At the same time, Rana getting included in the team has received huge criticism as ex-India pacer Dodda Ganesh has reckoned that the team management's obsession with Harshit Rana is beyond his understanding.

“Anshul Kamboj should have been added to the squad. Don’t understand this obsession with Harshit Rana," he has written on his official X account.

Harshit Rana made his debut in the longest format against Australia last year and has taken four wickets after playing in two matches.

The upcoming five-match Test series against England is the Shubman Gill-led side's first assessment as part of the new WTC cycle, which began with the Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh Test series this week.
