SRH vs DC IPL 2026: Abhishek Sharma's scintillating second IPL hundred, which was assisted well by a quick-fire knock of Heinrich Klaasen, helped the hosts post a mammoth target of 242 runs against Delhi Capitals at their backyard. The youngster stayed unbeaten after scoring 135 runs, registering his second-highest individual score in the IPL, where he had smashed 10 sixes, and has shone brightly with his bat. Although Klaasen played an important knock, scoring 37 runs off 13 balls, including three sixes and four fours.

Kavya Maran, the owner of the Hyderabad-based franchise, was really happy when Abhishek brought up his century, and his father's reaction went viral as well.

While batting first, Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head gave the team a perfect start. They scored nine runs during the first over.

Nitish Rana had bowled brilliantly during the second over, where he leaked just six runs, but the hosts bounced back as both the openers had smashed a four apiece during Mukesh Kumar's over.

Lungi Ngidi had bowled the fourth over, where he had leaked 10 runs. The Delhi-based franchise was under immense pressure as both Abhishek and Head took Rana to the cleaners, smashing 20 runs and stitching a 50-run partnership.

Sharma ended the powerplay brilliantly by hitting a six on the last ball and helped the Hyderabad-based franchise score 67 runs without losing any wickets despite having field restrictions.

DC captain Axar Patel, playing in his 100th match for DC, had bowled a brilliant over after the power play, leaking only 7 runs. Kuldeep Yadav had assisted him well by bowling another brilliant over, where he leaked just eight runs.
