KKR Training Camp IPL 2025: The defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders were seen celebrating Holi at their team hotel, with lots of zest on Friday. Both the players and the coaching staff took a day off from the intense pre-season training camp and were seen getting involved in Holi celebrations, where they applied color on each other and thus bonded as a team.

KKR players like skipper Ajinkya Rahane, Venkatesh Iyer, Rinku Singh, and Angkrish Raghuvanshi were seen splashing bright colors on each other. A few members of the support staff were also seen celebrating the festival, which includes head coach Chandrakant Pandit and bowling coach Carl Crowe. This celebration showed the close bond the team members shared ahead of the upcoming season.

The Ajinkya Rahane-led side will lock horns with Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their tournament opener on March 22 in their backyard.

A few days ago, the defending champions began their pre-season camp in Kolkata by hosting a pooja ceremony at the Eden Gardens.

Ajinkya Rahane would be leading the side from the front this time and star all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer has been named as the star all-rounder.

India's veteran batter Ajinkya Rahane would be replacing Shreyas Iyer, under whose guidance the team lifted their third IPL title last year, as the captain of the team. The team management didn't retain Iyer ahead of the mega auction last year and is now going to lead Punjab Kings in the upcoming season.

They began their pre-season training at the Eden Gardens by holding a pooja ceremony earlier this week. Head coach Chandrakant Pandit along with the support staff and the players were seen participating in it before starting the training camp. Skipper Ajinkya Rahane and the pitch curator Sujan Mukherjee were seen performing the pooja and also took blessings for yet another successful season.
