KKR vs MI, IPL 2024: The toss for the IPL 2024 match 60 between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians has been delayed due to rain at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
The ground staff did a great job as they covered the whole ground, making an attempt to keep the field ready for action as soon as the rain goes away.
For the past week, Kolkata has witnessed persistent rain and more was predicted as per the forecast for Saturday, May 11.

While KKR are close to finishing the league stage being at the top of the points table, MI are already out of the race for making it to the playoffs.

Both teams are heading into the contest on the back of wins in their respective previous matches with MI defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad whereas KKR got the better of Lucknow Super Giants.
KKR are the top-placed side in the points table with eight wins and 16 points after 11 matches whereas MI stand in the ninth position with four wins and eight points.
KKR have been in sublime form this season and their opening pair of Phil Salt and Sunil Narine especially has come out with sheer brilliance.
The opening pair has put up consistent performances, giving their side enough runs on the majority of the time to defend.

"They have been splendid for us, the way they are playing their shots is pure bliss. They are setting us up and giving momentum and no matter what the situation is, we are playing with a positive mindset. A lefty-righty combination makes things difficult for the opposition, the bowlers have to change their plans and that makes a difference," KKR captain Shreyas Iyer said about the openers.
